For most people, this won't change much about how you use the post office day-to-day. You'll still mail letters and packages the same way. But if you live in a community that's been wanting to rename your local post office, this bill could actually make that happen without waiting years for Congress to act. States would have the authority to make these naming decisions on their own, which means communities could get recognition for important local figures or events more quickly.
