# What the Homeland Security Climate Change Coordination Act Does

The council will develop plans to address these risks and can recommend reorganizing resources or shifting how DHS operates to better prepare for climate-related challenges. The bill requires the Secretary of Homeland Security to report annually to Congress for ten years about what actions the department is taking.
