They can be fined an amount equal to either their monthly salary or 10% of the value of stocks they illegally held, whichever is larger. These penalties can be imposed repeatedly every 30 days until they comply. The bill also requires all stock transactions and blind trust information to be publicly disclosed online so voters can see what's happening. The rules apply to new members starting in 2023 and to current members when they begin their next term.
