# What This Bill Does

This bill is designed to keep the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) running if Congress fails to pass a budget and the government runs out of money. When Congress doesn't approve funding in time, it creates what's called a "lapse in appropriations"—basically, the government temporarily has no money to pay for certain operations. This bill says that if this happens, the FAA automatically gets enough money to keep operating for up to 30 days, or however long the funding gap lasts, whichever is shorter.
