The bill sets aside at least 30% of funding for smaller states and territories with populations under 3 million. States and tribes must submit applications explaining how they'll use the money and must report annually to Congress on their progress. The bill also creates a task force within the Department of Agriculture to advise on how PFAS contamination should be addressed across all USDA programs and to provide technical assistance to states and tribes.
