# What This Bill Does

This bill is pretty straightforward: it tells the U.S. Postal Service to create new, unique ZIP Codes for 14 specific communities across the country. Right now, these communities share ZIP Codes with neighboring areas, and this bill would give each one its own dedicated code within nine months of the law passing.

The communities getting their own ZIP Codes are spread across multiple states—places like Eastvale, California; Castle Pines and Silver Cliff in Colorado; several communities in Florida; a handful of towns in Wisconsin; plus Urbandale, Iowa and Mills, Wyoming.
