# Small Business Workforce Pipeline Act of 2022

This bill requires small business development centers across the country to help small business owners learn about and set up apprenticeship and job training programs. Right now, these development centers offer various types of business advice and support, but they don't specifically focus on helping companies create training opportunities for workers. This bill adds that responsibility to their job.

Specifically, the bill directs these centers to provide information and assistance on four types of worker training: work-based learning opportunities (where students gain real job experience while still in school), registered apprenticeships (formal programs where workers learn a trade while earning wages), pre-apprenticeship programs (which prepare people to enter apprenticeships), and general job training programs. The centers would share information from the Department of Labor and other federal agencies to help small business owners understand how to start or improve these programs.
