To make sure this actually happens, the bill requires that 10 percent of the guaranteed loan money available through this program each year be set aside specifically for rural healthcare facilities. This reservation ensures the money won't get absorbed by other projects and guarantees that rural hospitals and mental health providers have a dedicated funding source to tap into during this seven-year period.
