# Plain Language Summary: 21st Century Workforce Partnerships Act

This bill creates a new federal grant program to help schools partner with local businesses to teach students job skills while they're still in middle and high school. The idea is to give young people a head start on careers by connecting classroom learning directly to real jobs in their communities. Schools can apply for these grants if they team up with at least one business or industry partner, and they might also work with community organizations, colleges, apprenticeship programs, or labor unions. The grants last three years initially and can be renewed for two more years if the school shows it's making progress.
