# Understanding This Resolution on Chordoma Awareness

This is a resolution expressing support for increased attention and resources toward chordoma, a rare but serious type of bone cancer that develops in the skull and spine. Chordoma is a relatively uncommon cancer, with about 300 new cases diagnosed each year in the United States and more than 25,000 people worldwide living with the disease.
