<p><b>Empowering Immigration Courts Act</b></p> <p>This bill authorizes immigration judges to impose a fine for contempt in accordance with the criminal code. Currently, the Department of Justice is authorized to prescribe regulations providing immigration judges with such authority, but has not done so. </p>
