Finally, it requires creditors to give service members multiple ways to submit the paperwork needed to get these protections, including online, mail, or fax options, so it's easier for busy service members to actually use their rights.

In practical terms, this helps prevent service members from getting trapped in high-interest debt while serving their country. A service member who might otherwise pay 18% interest on a credit card or personal loan would instead pay only 6%, saving significant money during their military service.
