It includes special funding for drug treatment programs, community health centers, and tribal health facilities. The government will also run a public awareness campaign about hepatitis C treatment and establish a national network to train healthcare providers on how to diagnose and treat the disease.

The bill creates oversight structures including an advisory committee with patients, doctors, and public health officials, plus an interagency working group bringing together various federal health agencies to coordinate efforts. Progress will be tracked publicly through a dashboard, and Congress will receive annual reports on how well the program is working through 2032.
