# Click to Cancel Consumer Protection Act of 2025

This bill makes it easier for people to cancel subscriptions and memberships online. Right now, many companies make it simple to sign up for services through their websites or apps, but they deliberately make cancellation difficult—requiring phone calls, multiple steps, or hidden forms. This law would require companies to provide a cancellation method that's just as easy and quick as the original sign-up process.

Specifically, if a company lets you subscribe online or through an app, they must allow you to cancel the same way. If you signed up with one click, you should be able to cancel with one click. The bill applies to any subscription or membership service, including streaming services, gym memberships, software subscriptions, and other recurring billing arrangements. Companies would need to clearly disclose their cancellation terms before you pay, and they can't require you to call a customer service line or jump through unnecessary hoops just to stop being charged.

This affects millions of everyday consumers who've been frustrated by companies that make cancellation intentionally complicated.
