Starting in 2026, if you have health insurance through your employer, buy it individually, or are on Medicare, you'll pay no more than $15 for a 30-day supply of any inhaler or nebulizer equipment. The bill also helps people without insurance. It creates a federal program where healthcare providers can submit claims to the government for inhalers they give to uninsured patients, and the government will reimburse them. Uninsured patients still won't pay more than $15 per month's supply. The changes apply to all types of inhalers and related equipment—whether they're quick-relief rescue inhalers, daily maintenance inhalers, or the masks and spacers that go with nebulizers.

Essentially, this legislation removes financial barriers to getting the breathing medications that people with these conditions need to stay healthy.
