This group will study Taiwan's current drone-making capabilities, identify what's blocking Taiwanese companies from participating in U.S. drone programs, and recommend ways to speed up the process. The working group will also explore partnerships with other countries in the region who want secure drones instead of Chinese ones.

To make it easier for Taiwanese drone companies to do business with the U.S., the bill establishes a faster approval process for certifying Taiwanese drone manufacturers and their products. This includes streamlining export licenses and recognizing Taiwan's cybersecurity standards as equivalent to U.S. standards where appropriate. The bill also encourages the U.S. military's manufacturing facilities to help test and maintain these jointly-developed drone systems.
