The bill also requires colleges without a disability services office to set up an Office of Accessibility with trained staff to handle accommodation requests and provide training to faculty and staff about disability rights.

Additionally, the bill requires colleges to track and report detailed information about how well they're serving students with disabilities, breaking down the data by type of disability, income level, and other factors. This helps identify what's working and what needs improvement. The government will spend $50 million per year from 2025 to 2029 on these disability support programs, plus another $10 million per year to help colleges establish accessibility offices. Overall, the bill recognizes that students with disabilities face extra barriers to college success and provides targeted resources to level the playing field.
