The bill would require these organizations to disclose donations above a certain threshold, making it harder for wealthy individuals or corporations to secretly fund campaigns through shell organizations or intermediaries. When you see a political ad, you'd be able to trace back and find out which real people or companies are actually paying for it, rather than just seeing a generic organization name.

The practical effect is that voters would have much better information when making decisions about candidates and ballot measures. If a candidate is being heavily funded by a particular industry or group of wealthy donors, that information would be public. Similarly, if outside groups are running attack ads, you could find out who's behind them. This transparency is meant to help voters understand potential conflicts of interest or special interests that might influence a candidate's positions.
