The taskforce will operate for 10 years using existing SEC funds, meaning no new taxpayer money is being allocated. This is essentially the government reorganizing its existing resources to focus more attention on a specific problem—making sure that older Americans' retirement savings and investments get dedicated protection from fraud and abuse.
