This bill extends a federal funding program called Impact Aid through 2029 that helps schools in specific situations. Some school districts lose a lot of money because they can't collect property taxes from federal land in their area—like military bases, national parks, or Indian reservations. Other districts spend extra money because they have to educate children who live on these federal properties. Impact Aid gives these schools federal money to make up for the lost tax revenue or extra costs. This bill keeps that program running and funded for the next several years, making sure these particular school districts don't get left behind financially just because of where federal property happens to be located.

To amend section 7014 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to advance toward full Federal funding for impact aid, and for other purposes.

 <p><strong></strong>This bill reauthorizes through FY2029 certain activities under the Impact Aid Program. The program provides funding to local educational agencies that have lost property tax revenue due to the presence of tax-exempt federal property or to those that have experienced increased expenditures due to enrollment of federally connected children (e.g., children living on Indian lands or military bases).</p>
