This bill would restrict what can be taught in schools run by the Department of Defense, which educate children of military families stationed around the world. The bill does carve out exceptions for existing Equal Employment Opportunity offices and disability rights compliance offices, which would continue operating as they have historically.

The bill establishes enforcement mechanisms, allowing the Secretary of Defense to discipline or fire employees and contractors who violate these restrictions. It also creates a process for parents to file complaints with the Department of Defense if they believe schools are violating the law. The restrictions would take effect within 60 days of the bill becoming law. Military families with children in these schools would see significant changes to curriculum and school programming, though the practical impact would depend on what specific programs and lessons currently exist at individual schools.
