# Passports for Purple Hearts Act

This bill gives military members who received the Purple Heart a break on passport fees. The Purple Heart is awarded to service members who are wounded or killed in combat, so this bill recognizes their sacrifice by waiving certain costs associated with getting or renewing a U.S. passport.
