This money will support joint research, development, and testing of anti-drone technologies. The bill directs the two countries to share intelligence about Iranian drone threats, conduct joint training exercises, and work together to get new defensive systems into the hands of troops as quickly as possible. It also requires the Secretary of Defense to submit annual reports to Congress describing progress on these efforts, including assessments of how well current anti-drone capabilities can handle the Iranian threat and recommendations for future cooperation.
