# What This Bill Does

This bill tells the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to create a detailed plan to fix and protect Lake Okeechobee and five coastal areas in Florida: the Caloosahatchee Estuary, Charlotte Harbor, Indian River Lagoon, Lake Worth Lagoon, and the St. Lucie River Estuary. These waterways have been struggling with pollution, harmful algae blooms, and damaged ecosystems for years.
