This bill asks the federal government to study whether the Camden Battlefield area in South Carolina should become a national park. The Battle of Camden was an important Revolutionary War battle that took place there on August 16, 1780, and the area also includes Historic Camden, a site with other Revolutionary War-related resources.

The Secretary of the Interior will lead this study and figure out several key things: whether the area is historically significant enough to deserve national park status, whether it's actually possible to turn it into a park, and what the best ways are to protect and share the area's history with visitors. The study will also look at whether local organizations could help manage the park instead of the federal government doing it all alone, and how much money it would cost to develop, run, and maintain it as a national park.

The Secretary will work with federal agencies, state and local governments, nonprofits, and interested community members to gather information. Within three years of getting funding, the Secretary must report back to Congress with the study's findings and recommendations about whether Camden Battlefield should become a national park. This is essentially a fact-finding mission to help Congress decide if this important historical site deserves national park protection.
