Built from federal filings: Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA) reports for domestic lobbying, FEC campaign-finance records, endorsements extracted from public statements, Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) filings, and members' personal financial disclosures.
Everything under PFD is read automatically from lawmakers' official financial disclosure filings (House filings are PDF documents) and may contain extraction errors. Values are ranges because the law only requires ranges. Every row links to the source filing so you can verify it.
Financial disclosure data is shown for transparency and accountability. Federal law (5 U.S.C. § 13107) prohibits using these reports for any unlawful or commercial purpose, to determine anyone's credit rating, or — directly or indirectly — to solicit money for any political, charitable, or other purpose. MyCapitol does not solicit donations on the basis of this information.
Every row is one asset a lawmaker listed on an annual financial disclosure — owned by the member, their spouse, jointly, or a dependent child — with the value and income ranges as filed. A lobbies Congress marker means the company behind the asset has lobbying filings: a connection worth checking, not a finding.
One row per asset per filing year (filter by year to see a single report). Where a year has an amended report, the latest-filed one is shown. Funds and ETFs are listed as filed — a fund that holds a company is not a stake in that company.
